Dog Whispering

So my dog has acted dog aggressive and has "attacked" some other dogs a few times. He is really friendly with people and has a few friend dogs, but he was a rescue.

I did some reading up and came to the conclusion that he was not properly socialized when he was a puppy. And I was ready to start working on his issues. So I started looking around for a dog whisperer person and found out a friend of mine does it!

So she came by and met the pup and had some really good perspectives. Mostly about how he plays rough (because he wasn't socialized) and he does tear up his toys. She gave us some practical advice for specific situations.

She even gave some good suggestions for the snakes! (We have two boas).

So if you're looking for someone - check her out.

if i lived in the LA area I'd try to get that little guy to come to my house and deal with my dog.

redgee hates hates hates people. the only way she won't lunge and bark at a person is if they happen to be walking a dog, then she's more interested in their dog.

she doesn't seem to have a problem with other puppehs (except for the coot).

It's actually a woman. Sometimes she comes north. You should check in with her if she'll be near you. She was really astute and down to earth and had some great stories - in addition to give us real practical things to try.

I've seen a show on TV about the dog whisper, I admit I find myself watching it to see if I can be a better owner for my dog

I was referring to the dog whisperer that's on tv in my post.

It's a good thing they have the site, so we can at least watch and maybe learn a thing from it

Maybe I will give him a call once I've settled in a more permanent residence, my little pitbull/french bulldog mix couldn't be more unfriendly to people.
