Love those microchips!
I work in the lost & found dept at our local shelter & we have recently had a few good matches due to microchips & tattoos. Both were dogs that were stolen. One was a chocolate Lab and was stolen as a 5 month old puppy & it ended up at our shelter 2 years later! That was one happy lady.
The 2nd one was a Portugese water dog who was also stolen... I think that one was missing a year.
If you have a cat or dog.. do yourself a favour & get a chip implanted. It's the only ID that can't be removed or updated unless it's done by the owner themselves.
