Question Breaking in your pony or young horse

When you have a young pony and you want to break it in, how should you go about it?

What age is best for breaking in a young pony or horse?

Ohhhh... this one may need me to write a lot of information... its all so different. I believe that a horse if big can be broke at about 2.5 months which is healthy but think most should be broke at 3years. Ponies I think are a good one to break at 3.

There are so many different styles of breaking. I like best they be broke in a halter. If I had my way, no horse would be ridden in anything but a bitless bridle (I posted a pic of myself with one recently) or a halter. But that is just me I have nothing against kind bits (snaffles, etc)

I think personally when horses are being broke they should be broke in a way that always allows them to know through reward when they are doing right and not worked long hours at a time. Just a short lesson each day with breaks in the week. A lot of people try and rush breaking especially to sell faster and cheaper. I think it should take a few months process and just take the time to work on ground manners then ground drive with a saddle and lastly have a human on.. the rest is just basically putting time and hours into the horse to make it any riding type you would like
