Question How do you get a hamster comfy with being held

How can you make a hamster feel safe and comfortable enough to be held?

What is the correct way to handle a hamster?

Amethystbelle is on a distinguished road
I usually start from day one with laying my hand in the cage and letting them get used to my smell and me being there and then offering them treats helps a lot as well Once they start to get used to me i try lifting them up whilst they are on my hand in the cage and then once they are used to that i try and scoop them up in two hands as thats the safest way to hold a hamster. Its important not to rush it as bad experiences can make them not like being handled later on so taking your time is important

What about a biting hamster?

Is there any way to train a hamster not to bite if it already has that habit? My son's hamster will bite just about every time he is picked up so he's hard to play with. He puts on a glove to put Hammie into his runaround ball. His friend gave him the hamster already grown so I don't know if it was ignored or mistreated before coming to us.
