As a new owner, what common ailments should the ferret owner be aware of and how are they treated?

Adrenal disease and insulinomia are the most common illnesses and most often occur in older ferrets. I thankfully do not have firsthand experience with these, but would recommend this site for more information: www.miamiferret.org
