Bleeding From Ear (Chinchilla)

By boy Kirby just turned on his brother Chance. Chance is missing a piece of his ear and he's bleeding pretty badly. I have been wiping the blood up, what else do I need to do

Aww, poor baby! Do you have any Neosporin powder? This helps the wound granulate and promotes healing. Tea tree oil is awesome for wounds too. If you apply tea tree oil to clean the wound I would dilute it with water.

Hugs to Chance.

I just saw this on:
http://www.chincare.com/HealthLifest...ionHealing.htm

I don't know if it's good advice or not, but it said that Cornstarch (as in the cooking kind) can be used to clot a bleeding toe or small, superficial wound. It acts as a styptic powder.

He's doing better. It looks sore, but he's not cramming himself under the ramp anymore. He had a rough day yesterday, his brother attacked him, I took his brother away from him for good, and he got his dad as a new cagemate He got some extra cuddles and a couple of raisins

Carla do you have a bit of polysporin handy? You might want to consider applying a bit of that on the wound for a few days to avoid infection.

Is that the same as neosporin? I clean his ear and put some anti bacterial neosporin on it 2 times a day. He's not a bad patient. Is this okay to do?
