pugsley has a swollen bleeding brow!

I have a pug who is 2 years old. She was attacked by a jack Russell mix a couple of days ago. The jrt got a good hold on pugsley's forehead right above her left eye. The teeth did not penetrate the eye. She just had a hold of the flap of skin and fat and was pulling very hard. We had to pry the jrt's jaws off of her head. However, there was no blood and she acted completely normal. Eating, drinking, playing- her normal self. Yesterday, we noticed that her head was swollen to the point of her having no wrinkles in her forehead. Her eyes were not swollen or anything, but the skin was swollen enough to over shadow her eyes. She was still acting fine and dandy. Now, today, she has torn a hole in the brow right above her left eye. Wether it was a bite mark from the jrt, she tore it open scratching at the swelling, or the pressure made the brow burst, I can not say. We have a cool damp cloth and are putting pressure on the bleeding, but I am at a loss as to what to do now. She is showing no signs of concussion.

I live in a rural area and the vets are not open after 12 noon and they will not allow an emergency visit without literally $100 when you walk in the door. I have about $50 I have access to. And I have talked to them before, so I know what I am saying. Advice, ideas? I am looking things up on my own, but I am praying one of the vets here will be on and answer.

How is Pugsley acting? It may be a bad wound but if Pugsley is acting normal (eating, drinking, playing, etc), you will probably be okay to wait until the morning to go to the vet. It is likely that Pugsley may need to have the wound closed...and will probably be put on antibiotics to prevent infection. In the meantime, do you have a collar that you can put on her to prevent her from scratching?
