Jenna, glad to hear your babies are back to their old selves.

Thanks for asking. So far- nothing is going to happen. My brother-in-law finally convinced the sheriff to hear me out- and he had me file reports for every incident within the last two years that we had trouble with these people. There is not enough evidence to investigate- but we have a pattern of harassment established and if they are stupid enough to try something again the police will be forced to get involved. I wasn't very satisfied with this- but the samples got outdated before I could find anyone to check them for narcotics- so we lost our key evidence.

The dogs seem fine- they missed their 2 week blood test while I was in the hospital- no one even thought of it- but they go next week to have it done. They've been great, though maybe turned a little bratty while I wasn't home. :P

Jennawing,

I hope you are feeling better. You know when the cats away the mice play...lol. Should I say, when the master of the doggies are away the doggies get to play... bratty. Please take care and let us know what happens.

I saw the date on this post and was wondering if there was anything that ever happened, because there was no follow up on if anything happened- if they got away with it, or if there were any charges filed, etc. Just because a post is old, does that mean that people can't inquire about them? Sorry to have asked.

It is the custom not to bring up old posts, yes- common courtesy on most forums. In this case, the answer is very complicated. Let's just say my neighbors continue to murder and abuse animals and the police say the burden of proof is on me- as they refuse to investigate no matter how many witnesses there are.

somehow i missed this thread! i was on the edge of my seat, even though i knew that they pulled through somehow lol

glad to hear they are ok, but it sucks that nothing can be done about the hoodlums next door..*sigh* so is life, sometimes we just have to grit our teeth and rely on *insert personal belief here* to take care of things, ya know?

Sondra, there is no need to say you are sorry. You were asking out of sheer concern and in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with that.
