My dog Tex has beed developing this strange growth on his leg, it started about a year or so ago but has been getting worse.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been told by friends that its not serious, but none of those friends have any qualifications. I am worried that it may cause him injury if it caught on something, or if perhaps it is a sign of something more severe.
I agree - a vet would definitely be able to tell you what it was.

That looks like the growth my moms boyfriend's dog has on her body. Not to scare you or anything, but his dog has cancer, so I would get that checked out ASAP.
