I have fish!!!

I picked up my fish today!!! They seem to be doing very well. I have 5 Leopard Danios, 3 Clown Loaches, 2 Pearl Gouramis and 1 Pleco. They are all beautiful!!! The Danios are the most active. There appears to be 3 longtails and 2 with regular tails. I'm still trying to figure out if they are boys or girls. All I've been able to find is that the females are plumper....had to tell when they are still small. The loaches are so cute, they like to stay by the bottom, and I've already seen the 'lying dead'. I'm so glad I found that out about them before hand!! The really like the driftwood. The Gouramis seem to like being at the top/middle. They stick together as well. I think they are both females.....But I'm not sure. And the pleca is actually more mobile then I thought he would be. Changes from location to location, seems to like the driftwood too. I so excited!!! I can't wait to feed them and watch them eat. I bought all kinds of stuff so I hope they like it. WEEEE, Fishies!!!!

I used to love having fish.. but I always thought it was such a pain to have to clean the tank all the time.. I just hated sticking my hand in the yucky water.. lol..
not to mention I couldnt ever get anything to stay down.. like the fake plants.. they always floated to the top no matter how hard I tried to keep them stuck under the rocks.. lol
well... what are you waiting for??? where are those pictures???? hmmmmm???

Lizz, I was going to ask you if you were going to get a Pleco. Our Pleco LOVES the driftwood that is in the aquarium. You have a beautiful mix of fish. Congrats on the aquarium. Fish are addictive.

Yeah, where are the pics?

Lixx, we need to send you Denise's digi cam --- she's not using it (unless there were new developments that I am unaware of )

Poor lixx... has to take pics with regular film.... I suppose I'll be lenient and accept that as an excuse for why there are no pics yet....

You sound happy with your selection, so that's good! I must admit, I have no clue about different types of fish... except tetras, and algae eaters and betas...

Congrats

LOL, I've been in and out of that water so many times now it's ridiculas. So much for it being Guys tank Must say the water is not good for my allergy, but I'll survive. The plants seem to be staying in okay. The store still hadn't receive their new shipment of plants, so I still have two fake ones in there. I did have to buy more gravel to prevent the plants from floating though.

I never know Plecos were SO active!! Guy says it's cause there's not alot of food for him yet (algae) so he has to keep moving to find it. I hope he always stays as active. I wanted to get a yellow snail too, but apparently my loaches will eat them There was a beautiful Zebra Pleco there, but at *cough* $200, I thought I better make sure I can handle are regular one first

OO, and the addiction has already kicked in, we have a second tank I need to set up (wait, why am I setting it up??? Poke-poke Guy ZZZZZZ, ah yes, that's why!) He wants a shark, but I think it may be too small (the tank).Off to do more research!!
