| Those are beautiful fish, Lixx. May I ask - is a Snowball pleco the same as a Gold Nugget pleco? I'm sure I have seen a similar one labelled as a Gold Nugget. Either way, it's a gorgeous fish.
Would it be possible for you to post a pic of the whole tank so that we can see the set up? I need to change mine, and set up a 10 gallon, and I'm looking for ideas - I have run out of inspiration!
Can you safely put terracotta plant pots in an aquarium? |

| Nope, snowballs are very different from Gold Nuggets. SB's stay small, 4-6" Where are the GN's get 12-14". SB's are alot hardier and have large white spots. The GN's, depending on the subspecies have varying degrees of yellow spots and have stipes along the edge of their fins. We have a gold nugget here too. I will try and get a pic of him. He is a bit less active then the SB.
GN's: http://www.scotcat.com/loricariidae/...strus_l177.htm http://www.scotcat.com/loricariidae/...istrus_l18.htm http://www.scotcat.com/loricariidae/...istrus_l81.htm
SB: http://www.scotcat.com/loricariidae/...strus_l115.htm
Here's a better pic of snowy. The water keeps coming out alot yellower then it truely is so I adjusted the pic a bit. Still yellow though.
And here is the tank these fish were from, the 50g. It needs some work though. The plants are almost gone and we need to remove some items for Pleca, our common pleco, is getting rather large now (a good 8-9"!) so he needs some more room. |

I am playing around with them right now. I took a gold gourami out of the 50g cause he was being picked on and put him with the submissive moonligt in the 16g (putting the dominant moonlight in the 50g) Well now the little gold gourami is pushing the moonlight around!! I think I need a few more fish in there, just as a distraction. It's just them and the GN right now. |
