i didnt want to say anything until I got him home safe and sound
this is Murphy's story
a little over 2 years ago I purchased a little Quaker named Keedis, the breeder Val whome I talk alot about and consider a very good friend also breeds numerous other parrots,,,one of them being Senegals,,,when we went to see the baby Quakers, Val also 3 baby sennies, Murphy, Yoshi and Duncan,,,
well Murphy and Duncan LOVED me,,,i couldnt get them off of me, I was trying to spend some time with Keedis but I also has these 2 Sennie babies all over me,,finally Murphy climbed up into my hair,,snuggled into me below my ear and went to sleep as i was scritching his head,,i immediately fell in love!!! Unfortunately Murphy was already purchased by a women named Cindy
For the first yr i heard all about Murphy and seen lots of pics as Cindy posted on one of the Canadian yahoo parrot groups,,then adventually she drifted from the group,,which is completly normal,,,I have done the same
anyways about 4 mths ago i seen an ad for a Senegal for sale ,,,I clicked out of curiosity and sure enough it was Murphy

i emailed Cindy right away and told her that i wanted him,,i was even willing to pay full price for him (the amount that she origianlly paid) she said there was another women interested in him, if it didnt work out, she'd let me know,,,fine,,of course the other women took him,,i said i didnt car as long as he was in a good home
come to find out,,the women who took him was also another member of the board,,i didnt really know this women as she was very new into birds,,or so i thought!!! she had a cockatiel and then she got Murphy,,,,
then 6 nights ago,,i seen the post,,Murphy was up for sale AGAIN

i emailed her right away and told her I wanted Murphy,,,enough was enough,,he needs a stable home environment and someone to love him no matter what,,,,he needs a FOREVER home,,,come to find out Cindy GAVE Linda Murphy,,,when i offered to PAY for him!!! Linda got in over her head with 2 cockatiels, a senegal and a Goffins too all within a 6 mth time frame

she also has 3 kids of her own plus owns a daycare,,,,so the birds sat in cages in her bedroom 95% of the time!!! she told me Murphy was sweet as can be,,
i called Val immediately(original breeder/friend) and told her what was happening,,,,she was very overwhelmed with emotion and cant believe Murphy has gone through this,,,i asked her if she would clip him for me, since my friend Shannon whome picked him up for me had to drive past Val's place on the way to meet Craig (confused yet??) basically Linda(Murphy's owner) drove up to Sussex and met my friend Shannon,,whome drove to the Miramichi and met Craig whose bringing Murphy home,,,Murphy lived 5 hrs away from us!! so we had to plan alot to get him here
anyways Val said sure, she had t do it in her garage,,,,she couldnt risk letting him into her home with her other birds,,but thats no biggie,,her garage is now her "store" for bird products,,lol she emailed me right away after Murphy left and told me he was still SWEET as can be,,,,Craig(Val's hubby,,we each have a Craig) stuck his hand right in the carrier,,Murphy steped right up and didnt even flinch when they clipped him,,,Val said hes amazingly sweet,,,BUT unnderweight!!! but i will get him fixed up in no time (i dont have a scale YET but hopefully by the end of the week i will)
we set up his new big cage(he was in a cockatiel size cage ) hes got his very own PVC playgym with boings hanging from the ceiling,,,,,new toys and hes going to be one spoiled rotten loved little guy for the rest of his life!!!!
After saying all of this,,,when I met Murphy,,i knew he was meant to be my bird, I was drawn to him and seriously it was LOVE at first sight,,,,Im glad hes adventually coming to be my baby,,,,,sad he had to go through alot to get here,,but hes finally coming home
So Murphy has been with us since yesterday now and hes as sweet as can be,,hes VERY cage terratorial,,which is extremly normal,,i just didnt expect it so soon with a new cage and all,,,its fine,,i dont mind getting bit ,,it doesnt feel good but I wont let him come out of his cage on his own and thats whathe wants,,lol...hes So friendly and lovey once hes off or out of his cage,,Milly is 'playtop' terratorial,,,shes not to bad, but shes not that old either,,,,keedis was VERY cage terratorial,,,i couldnt even feed or do anything to his cage unless he was away from it!!
I ordered am Avian Scale this morning so i know just how much fat i have to put on this little guy,,
Heres some pics since hes been home
and here he is eating a nutrierry after his first shower
