Well now this is a story, this bird here of which is called Buzz after Buzz lightyear in toy story, was found by me on the seafront at Folkstone near to Copt Point, I was don a Geological field trip at the time and on the way back discovered this Peach Face lovebird snoozing away on a wall.
I prompty took off my Jacket and brandished it like net over head, casting quite a large shadow, there was little reaction from the bird and I decided to make a grab for it.
The poor thing then endured a Train journey from Folkstone Central to Staple hurst, which is in the heart of Kent in the UK, a few noises errupted from the bag from time to time and im sure a couple of people spent some time looking around.
I got back to Uncle Alans and Aunt Eileens and opened the zipper far enough for a head to pop out and squak, there was a big rowl between me and my Uncle Alan, and my Cousin Bruce walked out making the situation worse, I then feed the tired blighter some Apple of which it rapidly munched away at.
Later the Daughter of the family fell in love with the bird she then named Buzz, therewere many attempts to locate the owners of this Peach face, from local Newspapers to Radio Kent itself, but no owners replies and Buzz has been living in a high rise Rat or chinchilla chage since.
Buzz was caught by me in 1995 and we dont know how old she was when she was found, she is 10 or over now and we may have to give credit to Willow branches and leaves for that great age, so Buzz could be older.
This old lady may look pretty but she has a beak on her that could hyperthetically open a can of peaches, and as soon as she sees a finger it is most definately dinner time, so we all tease her with a good thick Gardening glove, She is a lovely old Stick or a Ratbag as Uncle Alan would say.
