so it lasted for a while, but we'll be back at it soon, hopefully the end of July or beginning of August, we gotta make sure Angela is good and healed before getting up on Buck!!
my horse is Maverick, he is a huge quarterhorse, he is Sonia's (the owners) own personal horse, and since I wasnt nervous or scared she let me ride him, I was the first person that used him as a lesson horse and its been interesting, haha
first off heres a pic of him and I
so first things first,,,we have to go into the barn and get our horses ready, we gotta take them out of their stalls, into the hallways, tie them up, then brush them, and get them bridled and saddled, oh and clean their feet, I usually have to get Caynon out of his stall to because Crystal is a little nervous, haha the first time I did this, he head butted me right into Maverick, little bugger,,,anyways here I am in the barn getting Maverick ready
the first few nights we were in the arena with them,,,
good lord I had to get on a bucket to get up on Maverick as hes SO tall, when I put my leg in the stirrup, my foot was higher than my waste,,haha,,I can now get on him without the bucket,,not very gracefully I might add,,but atleast I can do it
I look absolutely HUGE in thee pictures,,,I said Im surprised I didnt break poor Mavericks back!!
so the next few times, we took the horses outside to the outside arena,,,WELL most of the fence was down and when Maverick and I were going around the arena, EVERYTIME I thought he was going to pull pin and jump the fallen fence,,,,I know he wanted to,,
Sonia worked mostly with Angela and Crystal and let me do my own thing, which was scary, haha she said she seen so much of herself in me, she was confident i could handle the horse,,I wish I had that much confidence, haha
Angela and Crystal both had lesson horses so they did what they were supposed to, even if you didnt ask them, just because they knew,,,but NOT Maverick,,,haha, it made it interesting to say the least,,
