This site needs more activity!

Justgroovy, we have got to come up with some way to get this site buzzing again. There used to be a ton of people on here. Always posts about one thing or another and people with all kinds of pets. What can we do to get this site back to the way it should be, filled with pet lovers who ask and answer all kinds of questions but also a place to make some great friends!

When the site changed ownership and web addresses, it pretty much died. I don't understand why the same people didn't just stick around. But be that as it may, the new people around have been just as great as the old ones. And it's really sad that this place is just so quiet now.

So I propose that this thread be used for coming up with new ideas or if anyone else has any suggestions in getting this place buzzing, then please, post them! This site is just too good to not have anyone here.

I do know one thing, it'll take time and effort and it'll have to look like there is more activity than there is to get it back to where it should be. Maybe we should start some new threads and encourage new members to post more, we can get the activity up. And with new posts we can probably get our other members to talk to each other as well, instead of just to the two of us, as it usually is.

That's about all I have right now. I'll try to come up with some more ideas later.

What was the old name and address of this site? Do you remember?

And yes I'd love to see this site have more activity. I'm surprised that more people just don't wander in here from google searches.

If we get more activity I know I can get CG to approve a contest with $50 worth of prizes.

The old site was called petsonthenet.com.

I think people do wander here, but without a whole bunch of new posts, they don't stay or whatever. I see new members all the time, but not many of them actually post. Do you know if the site is set up to send a private message welcoming the new members when they apply? I know Candice the original owner would send a message to everyone who became a member. It was really welcoming. Maybe we could start doing that too.
