Laughing The Posh Paws Coffeeshop & Cafe

Thought it would be nice to have a general chatty thread, where we can greet each other, put the world to rights and just pass the time of day with each other over a mug or two of virtual coffee

Allready had my coffee , was decaf mind you.

Currently in the Kitchen melting and boiling up chocolate . Trying to make a ChocolArt house for my Mouser girls Nejad and Wilga.

If it works I may slap up some pictures here , but as always I am less than optomistic.

Seems like the Chocolate might be setting so thats good news.

Bad news is I just now smashed one of my IKEA ( 2004 ) Trettiotre lamp shades trying to catch my new budgie Victoria of who appears to be untrained and totaly chicken. That was the free replacement I got from IKEA last time when mum broke the last one , then I broke another.

Thats glass for you.

I found the budgie a couple of weeks ago swimming in the middle of the road and rescued her.

Only problem is now the Decor in my living room is no longer symetrical so I may as well store the lamps away now until I manage to source a pair of new lampshade , they wont be blue etched glass though.

Thats ok , nice to meet you too.

I gave up on glass when I owned the dogs....no matter how carefully I placed anything glass, somehow it was always broken by an over enthusiastic wagging tail

I have thought about getting a budgie, but I love travelling, so for the time being, the two goldfish will suffice

The Chocolate mouse house was a failure in the end , mainly due to a serious lack of details in the instructions.

The plastic moulds just mishaped when I poured the chocolate and refused to set , the instructions never said anything about waiting for it to cool down first.

Plus it was rather like a hamburger , was'nt the same as the packaging showed it to be.

Such is life.

Isn't that always what happens, though, Dickie?.....everything is great on the packaging but rarely looks anything like it when you actually try it

I like to try things out too, I don't have a lot of patience though

Yes it's always the way

If there's one thing I ain't it pawsh and it seems like it's just you an me at the mo.

Oh I have my own skills , I can make my own bracelets , they are made out of Tilia ( European lime ) seeds , at least I know I can do a good job of that. Takes about 2 or 3 hours though to do a bracelet.

I used to like building model aircraft when younger, Airfix kits mainly. Great fun...apart from those really fiddly little bits that always seem to end up stuck to your fingertips instead of the plane....

Nowadays, I keep the grey matter busy online, although it does have to be said that being retired isn't quite what I had expected....another one of the looks good on the packaging, but fails to live up to that once tried
