| I am still here Hi everyone,
Just popped in for a min to see what is going on. I am getting ready to finish up this semester of school ( next week, whoohooo) It has certaintly been a tough 3 mos. I did sign up for chemistry in the spring ( I start the second week of May). Spring semester only lasts 6 weeks, but then I am all finished with my basic classes and able to start online classes in the fall.
I plan on working a lot of overtime this summer to pay for a new laptop that I am planning on buying for school. Scott and I are going to do some traveling to Florida in June to see my best friend. We are also looking into a new and exciting opportunity for the fall. I want to try travel nursing and have been doing lots of research into it. It is a pretty sweet gig, housing and all amentities included. We are pretty excited about it. While we wait for our house to sell, we can travel around a little bit. the companies offer animal friendly housing so we don't have to leave anyone behind We have three cities picked out at the moment and will just have to keep our fingers crossed the stars align for us
Keep posting, I am reading everything I can, I miss you all
Teresa

| When my husband lost his job and we were thinking of locating somewhere else, that is what I was going to do. I love travel nursing because you can work at a bunch of different places and get some idea which one you might want to permanently work at. Hope you like it as well!

| Thanks everyone, I gave all the furries great big hugs from Aunt Sue
Brandy- Basically, as a travel nurse, you are sent on assignment of different lengths ( I am looking at just 13 wks, but you can do 26 wks or more, depending on the company) You help fill the staffing gaps at high demand areas. We are currently researching Chicago, Colorado, and Seattle as the cities we would like to travel to. Some areas are expierencing nursing shortages due to population increases, sometimes union strikes ( I plan on staying far far away from situations like that)
The company reimburses for travel, licensure and housing is tax free and provided. Most companies also offer insurance for myself and spouse.
We have been planning on selling our house and moving to Florida this year. With the crappy economy in Michigan right now, this is an ideal way for us to put our house on the market and see the country. We will still have our house payment and other bills, but gives us an idea of where we might want to end up.
Annie, did you actually travel ? or just look into it, I would be very interested in any information you may have aquired.

| I was just looking into it. I have, in the past, done outside float pool at the various hospitals all around Milwaukee before I decided to stay at one company, but that is as close as I have come to travel nursing. The assignments in Hawaii and California look pretty tempting though

| UDATE:
Just thought I would drop a few words and give everyone an update on our plans.
We are still going forward with the travel nursing positions. I am applying for Illinois State License this week and that will take about six weeks to complete.
We are busy with improvements and cleaning of our house to make it ready for sale by end of June.
The final dates are still up in the air. I want to work some overtime this summer to be able to purchase a laptop. With a laptop, things will be much more movable. I have made small preparations for traveling.
In the meantime, I started spring classes I am taking Chemistry and will be done by end of June. Hooray no more college campus classes.
Everything will be online from here on out

| We are hoping our house sells as well, the market is horrible right now ( as it has been the last couple years) in Michigan. It is my biggest fear right now. I am not even worried about traveling he he. I am sure it will begin to give me some anxiety later on
Thanks for the encouragement
